Sensitisation

We raise public awareness on the impacts of climate change, particularly on gender, and its mitigation and adaptation approaches.

Natural resources

We stimulate the sustainable management of natural resources within the framework of national and international policies/conventions.

Renewable energy

We build the capacity of relevant stakeholders to manage the environment, conflict transformation, renewable energy, water and sanitation, violent extremism, and organic pollutants.

Educating women

We educate women and youth on their civic rights, responsibilities, and democratic governance.

ABOUT CEMREST

CEMREST is a Community Empowering Movement for a Responsive Society ( CEMREST) was born in 2011. The Organisation was legalized and registered in Belgium in 2012 as a non-profit organization supporting African rural communities towards development.

CEMREST follows an empowerment model, which promotes capacity building, economic independence and sustainable development. CEMREST envisions a society in which all people will have equal rights and access to potable water, sanitation, health and improved income status without gender discrimination.

VOLUNTEER INTERNSHIP

If you would like to make a meaningful contribution in Cameroon, Gambia and or in Kenya but you are not exactly sure how, then you have come to the right place. This volunteer internship Africa placement options are available in teaching, health care, social work, human right, Environment, Infrastructure, Agriculture just to name but a few. Since each placement is created for you, anyone can participate (university students, graduate students or experienced professionals). We will help you design a Cameroon, Gambia or Kenya internship project to ensure that both you and the organization benefit.

Internship opportunities in Cameroon, Gambia and  Kenya include the following fields:-

CLIMATE CHANGE: COMMUNITY BASED ADAPTATION.

Countries and communities need to develop adaptation solution and implement action to respond to the impacts of climate change that are already happening, as well as prepare for future impacts. Hence we come in.
