CEMREST is an organization created for Africans by Africans, to define and find solutions to the broad spectrum of challenges facing our rural communities in Africa. It was established in 2009 as an African migrant and refugee NGO, but was later in 2013 transformed into its present status. It has its International headquarters in Heist Op den Berg, in Belgium and has regional offices in Cameroon, Ethiopia and South Africa.
We help to re-orientates the lives of people living in abject poverty in rural areas in Africa.eg widows, vulnerable youths, elderly people, and physically challenged etc, by assisting them in creating livelihood routes out of poverty. CEMREST is working with great commitment and passion towards its goal of improving the living standards of Persons with disabilities, Vulnerable Children, youths, single mothers and windows, Elderly persons, and the active poor in communities cut across Africa
Therefore, It is with a deep sense of responsibility and accountability to all our partners, both international and local that CEMREST has packaged this website to keep partners and all sundry abreast of the programs, projects, activities, achievements and success stories of our organization .This website seeks to highlights CEMREST’s achievements as well as ongoing projects in all its thematic areas.
As you read through the several articles in this website, it promises to be enlightening, educative, informative and stimulating, as one can see the far reaching impact our programs and projects has had on the lives and livelihood of the general population and the target groups mentioned above. No doubt you will be spurred to action towards making your efforts and contributing your quota to reduce the hardship faced by these target groups.
We enjoin all well meaning stakeholders, to arise to the challenge before us all and put their hands on deck to alleviate the sufferings of the less privileged in our neighborhood and communities by raising their voice for the voiceless, supporting someone in need, as well as upholding the fundamental human rights of the marginalized in our society.
