This project was executed in February 2015 in the Kumba II Constituency of the South West Region of Cameroon. This was a humanitarian and capacity building workshop for physically challenged men, women and youths of the Kumba II constituency. This event was headed by the CEMREST representative from Belgium. This event brought together over 100 participants. Present during the workshop was the Lord Mayor of the Kumba II municipality, Senior Divisional officer, and sub divisional delegate of social affairs.
A team of professional capacity builders was invited as resources persons. They drilled the participants on developing their personality, business creation through local techniques and power of positive thinking. After the workshop was the donation ceremony where cloths with over 500 000 Frs. was donated to the participant. Chairing this donation was the Deputy Mayor of the Kumba II Council.
At the end of the event, the participant where given the opportunity to express themselves on some of the need their need and challenges. They express their gratitude on the fact the CEMREST has succeeded to solve one of their major challenges which was social exclusion. The applauded the fact that they were been remembered and this time around not only to give them donations as usual, but also with techniques on how they could self sustain. Notwithstanding, they expressed the fact that they would need further training on handicraft and some financial and material support to assist some of them who are already engaged in some entrepreneurial initiatives.
